Pet Door Show’s Up-and-Coming Artists You Should Know in 2023

On the Pet Door Show (my radio show on Shady Pines Radio, Thursdays 2–4pm Pacific / 5–7pm Eastern / 10pm-12am GMT), I exclusively share new music by independent and underplayed artists from around the world, with a strict self-imposed limit of 5,000 followers to ensure that the music I’m sharing on the show is super fresh and new.

A comment I frequently hear from listeners (which I completely agree with) is how amazing the quality of art is, despite coming from independent and underplayed artists who have to work harder than anyone to shape their art into a sound that meets their creative vision, often with limited resources and time. It’s a constant source of inspiration and awe, and I frequently wish that the artists I play on the show would receive more recognition and love for their work.

When all that hustle and effort pays off and artists do gain success and recognition in their projects, I want to celebrate! So, I want to share with you a list of all of the artists that I’ve played on the Pet Door Show who have been growing and moving and blown past the Pet Door Show’s 5,000 follower limit, who are destined for big things next year.

There is a Spotify playlist for convenient browsing (you’ll need to open the app to listen to all 196 tracks, and I recommend playing on shuffle), but I am also including purchase and social links for all the artists in the directory below (arranged alphabetically by artist’s full name).
